Hallo, Matlan:

nur aufgrund der Blätter wird man den Baum kaum bestimmen können. Im tropischen Afrika gibt es eine Fülle von Bäumen, die solche Blätter haben, z.B. Chrysophyllum, Gluema, Trichilia, Parinari ...

Du musst einige Blattbesonderheiten herausfinden, z.B. Behaarung, Farbunterschied Unterseite, Form der Spitze, Punkte, Drüsen etc. oder auf eine Blüte warten!!

ich habe gehofft, dass die Keimblätter vielleicht jemandem bekannt vorkommen - diese Form hatte ich bis jetzt noch nicht.
Aber ich werde auf alle Fälle versuchen, ein paar bessere Fotos von den Blättern (und vor allem Detailaufnamen) reinzustellen - soweit das mit meiner Kamera geht

die 'bestellten' Zusatzbilder:

zuerst die Blätter groß - da sieht man, dass sie behaart sind


Auch die Blattstengel sind behaart


Um die Form der Blätter besser zu erkennen ein Abschlußblatt

Und 2 mal der 'Stamm' - ist noch ein bischen jung...

Noch mal ein Nachtrag zu dem Unbekannten. Mittlerweile haben sich die Blätter in ihrer Form stabilisiert. Sie sind jetzt durchgehen ungerade gefiedert mit 11 normalen Blättern (5 auf jeder Seite plus ein abschlussblatt) und zwei kleinen verkümmerten am Ansatz:

Gibt es für solche 'Kümmerblätter' eigentlich einen speziellen Namen? Und falls ja, weiss jemand wie die Bezeichnung auf englisch lautet? Ich bezweifle, das ich die Pflanze auf deutschen I-Net-Seiten finde

these are stipules (so far I can see)
perhaps it is a legume? (Fabaceae)

I always thought that stipules are beside the normal leaves. I already ordered a key for the madegassian trees - maybe I can solve the riddle some day (for most of the keys you need flowers at a certain point & this can last for ages...)

Hello Jan,
I have to ask you for a little bit more patience. As I catched a cold I don't smell anything. With a lot of phantasy I could imagine that the plant smells a little bit like Mango, but I think it's better to ask my girl friend this weekend to take a smell (I'm hoping she doesn't have also a coryza).

now my girlfriend had to sniff & she smelled Mango with a little bit of Terpentin.
