Hallo Jan,

Perhaps my question Is not very clear.
I would like to know how you can see on your pictures, that this should be Ruscus hypoglossum.
Because in that taxon the bract is 3-15 mm broad with 5 or more veins.
On the picture I see a small bract (but can not judge the scale of it) with only 3 veins.
Perhaps with more detail you can see more veins, perhaps with an indication of scale you can see the length of it...
Also the cladodes are acuminate at apex, not acute.
Enclosed two cladodes
the small one from a plant at Wakehurst Place (from my JDL09699, collected 06JUL1996)
the other one from a plant at Trompenburg Arboretum (from my JDL006894, collected 20MAY1988)
Notice the large bracts with more than 5 veins
and the acute apex of the cladode, not so acuminate
See also Krüssmann3, 286
Graf in (Exotica) Hortica where the plate is telling Ruscus hypoglossum but the identity is Ruscus ×microphyllum
And the text in EGF: where Yeo tells that Ruscus ×microphyllum usually is cultivated under the name of one of its parents, and sometimes is naturalised.

Hallo Jan,
