diesmal wird eine Konifere gesucht.


Wie gewohnt bitte ich euch Lösungsvorschläge per PN einzuschicken damit jeder sich am Rätsel versuchen kann. Falsche Lösungsvorschläge werden ohne Namensnennung von mir veröffentlicht. Fragen dürfen gerne hier gestellt werden.

es ist ein niederliegendes Gehölz, kaum über einen halben Meter hoch werdend

This conifer is distinguishable from all others by combination of following characters:

-Wintergreen
-Leaf covering shoot at base
-Visible stomata (x 10) limited to shoot abaxially
-Lateral scales distant from base on
-< 100 cm high, prostrate (to distinguish from Xanthocyparis that also has previous characters and a pungent smell in comon)

But I think, the better help is a Habitus-Foto. Most know the plant from the Bot.Gardens or Nurseries and will remember, when they see a foto from the whole plant in summer and winter.The needle-details are too similar to others from other families.

Stimmt. Trotzdem sind diese Detailfotos hervorragend, so sieht man es ja sonst nie.

The distinguishing points I have given (extracted from an interactive key on about 60 genera of gymnosperms I composed) are the more visible characters.

Remember a lot of Juniperus are also low and prostrating.
Habitus alone does not work, far from it!
